OliveDocs

Overview

Olive is a Solana RFQ workspace for buying defined-risk Long Calls and Long Puts on crypto and select real-world markets.

Olive lets you pick a market, choose Call or Put, set how much you want to spend, pick a strike and expiry, and request a firm maker quote. There is no order book to cross: Olive asks approved makers to price your exact ticket, then settles the accepted position on-chain at maturity.

Every Olive position is a bought option. You pay USDC up front, and that payment is the most you can lose.

Olive is in closed beta on Solana devnet. Program IDs, tokens, and markets are devnet-only, and the app shows only the markets and expiries that are active on-chain in the deployment you are connected to. Nothing here is investment advice.

What you can buy

Two products, both spend-first:

ProductYou getPaid at maturity in
Long CallUpside above your strikeThe market's registered Solana call token
Long PutDownside below your strike, all the way to zeroUSDC

Markets are crypto (BTC, SOL) and select real-world underlyings (Gold, S&P 500), subject to what the connected deployment has enabled. Tenors are short-dated — the app offers 14, 30, and 60 days and snaps to the nearest live on-chain expiry.

What a ticket fixes

  • Market and product: the underlying, and whether you are long a call or a put.
  • Amount: the USDC you want to spend. Olive converts it into a position size.
  • Strike: the price level that defines the payoff.
  • Expiry: the on-chain maturity used for settlement.

Once you accept a firm quote, all of it is fixed: size, strike, maturity, the premium and fee you paid, the maximum payout, and the settlement asset. From then on the only variable is the settlement price at maturity — unless you accept a maker buyback first.

Good to know

  • Max loss is what you pay. Premium plus the Olive fee, and nothing more.
  • European. Positions settle at maturity only. Olive never liquidates them.
  • Early exit is possible, not promised. Only the original maker can buy your position back, and only if it chooses to quote.
  • Collateral becomes fully on-chain before maturity. Until the funding deadline, the maker's obligation can be backed by custodied collateral under a tri-party control agreement rather than by tokens already in the bucket. See Collateral & funding.
  • You don't need SOL. Olive sponsors network fees and account rent.
